When you take on kitchen renovation, your biggest decision is choosing between kitchen cabinets with or without doors. There is a wardrobe style cabinet that holds the island and some drawers but it's not the the area offers a large center island with a breakfast bar and an undermount sink. But not when what you see through those doors is unsightly.

Simply remove the center panel and add a plexiglass window.

You can go for a more open kitchen design with cabinets without doors. Our kitchen had a very open floorplan, and we wanted to add some cabinet/drawer space and some seating. But color with a little flair can change the style of your cabinets from plain and simple to shabby chic. I plan to leave the doors off, sand, and touch up the wood finish inside the cabinet.
